Take a step back in time to see how families lived in wartime Britain.

Our 1940s home marquee will house a programme of workshops and talks about life on ‘the home front’. Do you know how to knit? Why not learn to Make-do-and Mend or watch our Cooking with Rations demonstration in the 1940s kitchen. You will also be able to see inside some of the film sets from blockbuster film ‘The Imitation Game” starring Keira Knightley and Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Blitz Buddies will bring back some memories, whether serving tea from the NAAFI van, wearing fashions of the time or dancing to well known tunes – this group of enthusiasts are not to be missed!

Life on the frontline is hard to imagine. Historical displays will help to illustrate this. Take time to remember with sensitivity, the sacrifices of those generations that went before us and take part in the Service of Remembrance on Sunday morning.

Visit the main arena to see combat training, re-enactments and artillery firing demonstrations.
